Although motorists are still requested to remain vigilant when using the John Tallant Road, this major arterial road is now open for business since Friday (8 August).
Portfolio Chairperson for Infrastructure, Engineering, Electricity and Energy, Andile Mfunda said road markings are being painted at present and work on the sidelines, such as the sidewalks, street lighting, barricades and trimming of the verges are still continuing.
Mfunda requested that motorists use the necessary care as John Tallant will be narrowed down to two lanes while the work on the sidelines continues. When completed, it will have four lanes.
