If we share our view will you keep quiet?

Staying where we do we have a magnificent view of the bay and the Nelson Mandela Bay Soccer Stadium. Combine this with a park and wide verges across the road and we often see people stopping to admire the view.

Along with those that admire the view we also get to see what we presume are dangerous liaisons, cheating spouses and even wedding parties having photographs taken. So long as these happen quietly and during the day I am a happy little camper.

BUT, when drunken or drugged idiots decide to sleep it off under one of the trees opposite us and STILL play their music so loud that the entire household wakes up and looks to Old Grumpy to sort the noise out, I do get a tad more grumpy. It is difficult to shout and make oneself heard when music is playing loudly in drunken/drugged ears, the SAPS are pretty effective on a slow night for them and shining a torch does make the idiots take notice.

On Sunday morning at 3:00 am we were once again treated to the drum and bass noise that passes for music. Initially I though that the music was coming from the ‘Lion House’ – a frequent transgressor in our area – whenever business is slow at the knock shop the owners come home and play music to uplift their souls and irritate their neighbours. But, I was wrong – a silver Polo was parked on the verge opposite our home and was the source of the disturbance.

This time around I have hit on a dastardly plan – from now on I am going to take photographs of the offending vehicles and publish them on MyPE:

  1. Yes – name and shame them.  They should rather go and disturb the residents in their own households / neighbourhoods rather than disturbing innocent residents elsewehere.
