Communities are hereby reminded that the consultation process for the revised Integrated Development Plan and Budget for the ensuing financial year will be completed this week following a public participation period of just over a month.
An extensive consultation process was held at the beginning of May 2011 including visits to various ward clusters. Following critical observations, Executive Mayor, Cllr Zanoxolo Wayile extended the consultation period recently to give stakeholders more time to make input.
The documents were circulated to municipal libraries and published on the municipal website again last Friday, following stakeholder meetings and inputs. Submissions can still be made to the task team this week until Thursday 23rd June 2011. The final budget will be considered by council next week.
