I sent out a Tweet that started the world crying

It started like this – a tweet against the Friendly City of Port Elizabeth:

Port Elizabeth is like family – do not make disparaging remarks unless you want to meet me behind the bicycle sheds for a bout of fisticuffs!

So I threw a left punch:

Which was countered with a duck and dive float like a butterfly move:

And then things got interesting as my new found sparring partner tweeted this one:

Of course the Radisson Blu PE is ecstatic:

Which I retweeted, only to have Caley come back:

Just goes to show that if you don’t know about a survey then you cannot alert your guests to take part – I ask myself; “Is anything independant these days?” But last week when I met my new best friend, Brett Hoppe who is the new General Manager at the Boardwalk Hotel I was given a complimentary night’s stay on proviso that I take the Longhair as “.. she will be brutally honest!” So, don’t despair Caley dear I will take you up on your offer very soon:

One last piece of advice to my new found sparring partner at SouthAfrica.to; “When you do the next survey Rob, please make sure that as many hotels as possible are made aware of it – for a small fee us at MyPE will take care of the Friendly Folk down here!”

  1. Great post Alan – I love the way you set out a blow by blow description of the tweets…but, this saga hasn’t ended yet. We haven’t done this for any other city, but because of the interest shown by the good folk of PE, tomorrow we will announce the full top 5 hotels in Port Elizabeth 🙂 Will your mates be on it? Only time will tell!
