At approximately 5:50 pm on Wednesday 8 February two trucks were involved in a nasty head on collison on the N2 near Hougham Park.
One truck carrying bricks into Port Elizabeth and the other, a Transport 2000 truck, carrying wool out of Port Elizabeth met head on whilst negotiating the temporary road markings and signage.
Both drivers dead – one in the fire and one on impact. A short set of brake marks lead up to the accident.
