Havilah Designer Jewellers, started in 1996, is a family run business, based in Port Elizabeth. Owner, Charlie Jackson, not only believes in providing the best possible experience to customers, in terms of excellent quality and service, but also believes in investing in the education and development of individuals.
Since Havilah’s inception, Charlie, with his 36 years experience as a jeweller, has been responsible for training five jewellers, who are now all successful in the industry.
Having started as a small family business, Havilah are now pleased to be providing full time employment for 6 current staff members.
This year, Havilah welcomes Public Relations intern, Sheyna Jackson to their team. After enjoying two years of study at NMMU, Sheyna is excited about the opportunity of completing her experiential training year at Havilah, before graduating with her National Diploma in Public Relations Management.

Yes, it’s is great to work for mom and dad, and it’s great that they have made an opportunity for myself along with many others, to provide not only training but also continued employment. On the cheap advertising, i’d gather my facts before commenting. A years internship is a mandatory requirement of my course which many Port Elizabeth businesses assist with! Thanks to them, we are able to graduate with our Diploma! Payment is not an obligation of the emloyer and those of us who are fortunate enough to have a paid internship count ourselves lucky.
