Please note that all municipal public libraries (with the exception of the Newton Park and Zwide Libraries) will be closed from Wednesday, 23 December 2015, to re-open to the public on Monday, 11 January 2016.
Both the Newton Park and Zwide Libraries will be open on Wednesday, 23 (usual hours) and on Thursday, 24 December from 09:00 to 12:00. The Newton Park Library will re-open on Monday 4 January at the usual library hours.
RENEWAL OF LIBRARY BOOKS
If residents’ library books are overdue, they may renew them by phoning the library where the book was borrowed or by emailing the relevant details to bookrenewals[at]mandelametro.gov.za. Details to be included in the email are the borrower’s name and surname, library borrower card number, and the barcode numbers of the books to be renewed.
CAN’T GET TO A LIBRARY?
eBooks and audiobooks can be borrowed on line from the Municipality’s eMedia Library at http://nmbm.lib.overdrive.com. Residents must browse the site, download the app, select the books they want to read, and download them. If residents cannot get to a library to register as a member, they can also register for the eMedia Library only by emailing kdeklerk[at]mandelametro.gov.za
