Easter Weekend Rugby and Netball Festival At Cillie High School

By

Scroll down for a list of Springbok 15’s Rugby Players from the Eastern Cape – feel free to add any that we may have missed in the comments section.

The FNB Rugby and Netball Festival takes place at Cillie High School, c/o Kempston and Uitenhage Road, Sydenham, Gqeberha this Easter Weekend. 12 Schools will be taking part and the festival is geared to service the ‘lesser known’ Rugby and Netball schools. Supported by FNB and EPRU (Eastern Province Rugby Union) the festival could prove to be a good hunting ground for upcoming talent.

FNB have proven to be great supporters of rugby in South Africa and for the first time this year have ventured away from the successful Varsity Cup series to also support grassroots Rugby and Netball in Gqeberha.

Gqeberha (and Eastern Province) have proven to be remarkable breeding grounds for most sports. Unfortunately for the senior game most of our outstanding sports persons are snapped up for ‘foreign’ teams and do not go on to grace the local fields of play as senior players.
