The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality would like to inform members of the public, businesses and ratepayers that external telephone communication both in and out of the NMBM is severely restricted and congested, affecting all sections dealing with the public.
Telkom repairs are still ongoing and may take most of the day, so telephone services will be restored later this afternoon at the latest.
According to Telkom, the problem revolves around a major break in the cables, affecting inter alie the Lillian Diedericks Building, where most of our service delivery department are based. Telkom’s technicians are on site, and the Municipality will advise as soon as the normal telephone service is restored.
The inconvenience caused is regretted.
