Dear Seacom Cable

24 October 2011 By Alan Straton

Are you a weekend binge drinker? Because for the past couple of Mondays every single time I try and do a decent amount of work your connection acts like an employee with a hangover – wearing dark glasses, not connected to reality at all, curled up in the foetal position in a corner and worth FARG ALL except to laugh and cackle over.

We will not talk about the other times during the week when you also slip out for a bottle or two of tequila as well!

The Seacom cable has been down so many times due to ‘breaks’ since your launch that I am sure it is looking like a taxi held together with bloudraad, duct tape and chewing gum.

Maybe NOW is the time to cut your losses and lay another DECENT cable?

One Question: Your kak service forces me to use my Speedstick. To whom must I address my invoice for a new stick?

Abdullah – huh, huh and huh? Seacom is a CABLE and the Speedstick is a 3G USB modem provided by Cell C that uses Seacom’s competitor. The stick works and Seacom DOESN’T.
