The commitment of the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality to eradicate bucket toilets is gaining momentum. The three pronged approached introduced by the Infastructure and Engineering Mayoral Committee Member, Councillor Andile Mfunda last year is now in full swing.
The three pronged approach includes, allocating of formal houses with flushed toilets, secondly construction of a slab and a toilet in serviced sites while waiting for top structure funding approval, the last one is the provision of communal toilets for the communities living in dense shack areas.
Today at 09h30 the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality will launch the COMMUNAL TOILET programme in Kwazakhele, Mathew Goniwe (Kwandokwenza).
