From humble beginnings of a R11 000 distribution of funds in 2005 first raised by Ironman 4 The Kidz founders Gary Stephenson and Garth Wright to a whopping R2.5 Million rand this year the charity is benefiting the vulnerable, the poor and the disadvantaged with hope and joy in ever increasing numbers. The Nelson Mandela Bay duathlon will take place at an all-new venue this weekend where it will present an exciting challenge for competitors. Nelson Mandela Bay Triathlon star, Keegan Cooke, showed his class at Sunday's NMB Triathlon's Duathlon Championship event at Pollok beach.

It was an early morning start for the small but competitive field which assembled at Pollok beach for the NMBT Duathlon Championship on Sunday. Competitors enjoyed quiet conditions at the start of the race with the wind picking up to a fresh breeze during the course of the morning.
