The newly launched Bay Stars Football Club is not just providing an outlet for aspiring young soccer players, the management would like to see this club play a pivotal role in reviving Football Fridays.
Managing Director Tony Lovegrove said the club would like to invite the soccer-loving residents of Nelson Mandela Bay to the team’s first Vodacom League fixture on Friday night at 19:00 at the Gelvandale Stadium against the East London outfit O R Tambo.
“Access to the stadium will be free as the intention is not just to revive Football Fridays, we also would like the residents of the city to experience their new hope of Premier League promotion do the job on the field where it matters most,” he added.
