The planned amnesty period for traffic fines is still in its infancy stage and will not start on Monday as reported by a local newspaper today.
Even though it was discussed at a meeting of the Safety and Security Standing Committee yesterday, the plan must still be approved by the Mayoral Committee and/or Council for a resolution to map the way forward.
Residents are therefore informed that they remain responsible for the full outstanding amount of fines and warrants of arrests.
