Yes Eskom but, what does that mean?

Eskom recently tweeted; “We anticipate to supply 100% of electricity most days and 96% during peak periods from 6am to 10am and 5pm to 10pm.”

Surely PLAIN ENGLISH demands that you rather say; “We anticipate to supply 96% of electricity during peak periods from 6am to 10am and 5pm to 10pm.” OR “We anticipate to supply 100% of electricity most days.”

By combining those two statements you once again embark on obfuscation on a grand scale.

At the end of the day it doesn’t really matter as Eskom will implement load shedding Stage 1 from 17h30 until 22h00 today.

The Nelson Mandela Bay Groups affected will be:

  • 17h30 to 18h30: Group 8
  • 18h00 to 20h30: Geysers
  • 20h00 to 22h30: Group 1
