I for one think that I will end up whimpering quietly over a Braai Day fire, staring into the bottom of an ice cold Fanta Brown, after rushing from event to event.

Just a small foretaste of what is happening in PE This weekend:

Saturday 24 September 2011

  • 8:00 am – Northern Arts Festival
  • 8:00 am – Celebrity Sixes Cricket at Kemsley Park (Police Grounds), Mount Croix
  • 9:00 am – New Brighton Wine Festival at Red Location Museum, Port Elizabeth
  • 9:00 am – Carlson Gracie Africa Cup at Uitenhage Indoor Sports Centre, Uitenhage Eastern Cape
  • 9:30 am – Become a Healthier, Fitter and More Confident You at Caprice Restro Bar & Lounge, Port Elizabeth Eastern Cape
  • 10:00 am – Route 67, launched by the Mandela Bay Development Agency (MBDA) at City Hall
  • 11:00 am – 150 years of St Georges Park at Pearson Conservancy
  • 1:00 pm – Pride Parade starting in Stanley Street Richmond Hill
  • 2:00 pm – Opening of the Sailing Season Shark Rock Pier Sailpast by Algoa Bay Yacht Club
  • 6:00 pm  – Krishna Leela at the Opera House, Port Elizabeth

Some of the above events also continue on Sunday 25 September – The Longhair and I are also hoping to make it to Sunday’s Urban Run which starts at 8:00 am from the Donkin Reserve and winds down to the harbour back to Settlers Park, up to St Georges and down to the Donkin.
