One answer to that question lies in an early 19th Century Nursery Rhyme that says; “Frogs and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails!”
In contrast the same Nursery Rhyme asks the question; “What are little girls made of?” and answers thus; “Sugar and Spice and all things nice!”
Well this early 19th Century Nursery Rhyme may just be the one to accurately describe the two boys in my home and the reasons for the train wreck state that their rooms are in every single day.
At the ages of 10 and 12 they struggle to keep their rooms tidy and, despite being asked umpteen times every morning to just make their beds and pick up their clothes, they fail to do so.
In these enlightened times the normal forms of discipline do not seem to work at all in encouraging them to live like decent human beings so maybe a few comments on this video will encourage John and Nicholas to begin living like neat children who respect themselves and their environment!
Maybe I should send this video to their teachers and peers for comment?
