Sporting Celebrities and Rugby greats Rob Louw, De Wet Barry, Toks van der Linde, Danie Gerber and Anton Barnard as well as Cricketer Dave Callaghan will be participating in the annual Algoa Bay Council for the Aged Celebrity Golf Classic at the Humewood Golf Club on Thursday 24 March 2011. They will be joined by popular Vetkoekpaleis TV personality Zack du Plessis.
Now in its 13th year the Classic will be hosted by Algoa Bay Council for the Aged in association with major sponsor Trink Group Holdings. This event is a must on any golf enthusiasts calendar as it affords local businesses and individuals the opportunity of rubbing shoulders with well known personalities whilst supporting a good cause and getting in a day on the golf course at the same time.
Sunshine tour golf pros Titch Moore, Lyle Rowe and Francois van Vuuren are going to ensure that golfers experience a top class day on the course as well as a Mulligan on the 18th hole.
Also flying in to support the cause is former Miss South Africa and Miss Universe 2nd runner-up the lovely Tatum Keshwar and the stunning surfer dudette and sexiest woman in the world Roxy Louw who will join forces with our very own and very beautiful Mrs Port Elizabeth Lee-Ann Speirs to provide some charm on the course. We understand that Tatum has played golf so we look forward to her showing the guys how it’s done.
Tatum will be accompanied by reality TV star, celebrity autograph hunter and blogger Clayton Morar – a former Alexander Road High School pupil. Clayton and Tatum are competing against each other for one million rand whilst starring in the reality programme Tropika Island of Treasure 3 on e.tv on Sundays at 18:30pm.
The field is limited to 32 four-balls and is ended with a Spitbraai by Werner at the Prize Giving where the Celebrity Golf Classic Floating Trophy and many other super prizes will be up for grabs.
Popular Algoa FM presenter Daron Mann will MC while Duncan McClaggan will auction off a Trink Laptop computer as well as other Trink prizes, Holiday getaways and celebrity memorabilia.
There are still some four-ball slots and a few greens and tees available.
Contact ABCA on 041 368 8434 for more information.
And Clayton – don’t forget to remind me when you land in good old PE, I might just allow you to buy me a Fanta Brown.
