Every good wish you all for 2025. Your committment to these clean-ups over the past year is much appreciated.
The first WESSA Algoa Bay Branch beach clean-up for this new year will be in Summerstrand starting at the Beacon at the intersection of Marine Drive and Admiralty Way, this coming Saturday 18 January 2025 from 09:30 to 10:30.
This stretch of coastline has a serious, on-going litter problem for a variety of reasons, and needs regular clean-ups. We are hoping that by continuing to concentrate on this spot, we can stop as much of this litter as possible from finding its way into the sea.
There is ample parking at the Beacon. Please bring hats, sunscreen, water and your own gloves. We will provide litter bags.
Thank you again for the difference you are making by supporting these clean-ups and we look forward to seeing you there.
