1. REFUSE COLLECTION BACK UP PLAN

We received the following feedback from the Metro with regards to the current illegal strike action by Waste Management Workers of the Cleansing Division:

“…the court interdict is not yet received but we are informed that we will be getting it today.  Attached below is a contingency plan for the City Areas we will be working tonight as per attached schedule.

Areas that were supposed to have been done on Tuesday will be done tonight, Wednesday and Thursday tomorrow and Friday areas on Sunday.”

Thus, kindly take note of the following information:

  • Fernglen, Sunridge Park, Framesby areas will be picked up tomorrow, Saturday, 9 Nov 2013.
  • Westering, Linton Grange and Bramhope areas will be picked up on Sunday, 10 Nov 2013.

Please put out your refuse bags for collection accordingly.

2. REGISTRATION WEEKEND: 9 & 10 NOVEMBER 2013

Just a friendly reminder to those residents who have not yet registered to vote and those who have moved since the previous election – the IEC will be having a registration drive at the different voting stations.

Our voting stations will be at:

  • Sunridge Primary School, Tulip Avenue, Sunridge Park
  • Londt Park Squash Club, Ralston Road, Fernglen
  • Westering Primary School, Papenkuils Street, Westering
  • Verkenner Primary School, Gardenia Street, Linton Grange

I want to encourage our youth and new residents to go out and register to vote in the 2014 election.

Residents can check whether they are indeed registered and/or correctly registered by doing the following:

  • Contact the IEC offices toll free on 0800 11 8000 or
  • IEC offices (P.E.) on 041 373-8604 or 041 373-8611 or
  • sms your id number to 32810 or
  • make use of their website: www.elections.org.za

Feel free to contact the office should you require more information.

3. LAPTOP OUT OF ORDER
