Then you need to get your ample behind on down to the Great Outdoors Expo at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium between 8 and 11 September 2011.

The experiential Harley-Davidson Demo Truck will be at the Expo to offer riders and pillions a unique experience of the iconic brand. The demo experience truck introduces Harley-Davidson motorcycles and lifestyle to areas of South Africa that are currently not serviced by authorised Harley-Davidson dealerships – like Port Elizabeth, he says, sniffing.

Visitors to the Great Outdoor Expo will have the monster opportunity to test ride one of seven Harley-Davidson demo motorcycles. The motorcycles available for free demo include the Sportster Iron, Sportster 1200 Custom, Dyna Fat Bob, Softtail Blackline, Softail Fat Boy Special, VRSC Muscle and the Electra Glide Ultra Limited. Harley will provide both helmets and riding jackets for enthusiasts who would like to test drive the motorcycles.

The Legend on Tour truck has a number of experiences for both enthusiasts and newcomers, starting with a Fit Shop where the fit and form of a Fat Boy motorcycle can be changed by fitting a range of different handle bars and seats according to your own personal preference.

For non-riding enthusiasts who want to experience the thrill of riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, the Jump Start dyno will get your blood pumping! When on the Jump Start, visitors can experience the sound, feel and vibrations of a motorcycle without the worry of balance or lack of experience in driving a motorcycle.

The Legend on Tour truck has featured at a number of South African motoring and lifestyle events and festivals in 2011 and is sure to attract a lot of attention at the Great Outdoors Expo in Port Elizabeth over the weekend of 8 to 11 September.

Also featuring at the outdoor adventure festival will be the Harley Davidson Stunt Team, the FMX Stunt Team, flips in a Rally Car and a Helicopter, Jetski Time Trials, Bow Shooting, Wakeboarding Demos, Pro Skateboarders, Paintball, Ocean Divers Discover Experience, a 4×4 Track, the Eliminator Challenge, a Food Court and, in another first for PE, Snow skiing and Boarding.

  1. It looks like a good event but have to say that as a local resident living near the stadium, we the residents have received little information on the expo. Very disappointed in the poor planning onbehalf of the stadium management and event organisers. The event is not even listed on the official website for the stadium and no advertising appears around the neighbourhood.
