AltX JSE listed company RGT Smart recently hosted the inaugural RGT SMART Charity Golf Day in aid of the Martin Kruger Education Trust which was established following the passing of motor industry legend Martin Kruger in January 2011.
During Kruger’s thirty years in the motor industry he made a huge contribution specifically to the development of the RGT/NAAMSA systems that are today regarded as a world benchmark in automotive industry statistics. The fund is fully supported by both RGT Smart as well as NAAMSA, who donated R20 000 to the trust which aims to support the education of underprivileged students studying in an automotive related field at a tertiary level.
The event, which was mainly sponsored by NAAMSA, Tasima, Radisson Blu Hotel Port Elizabeth and Addo Afrique Estate, was held at the PE Golf Club and guests included RGT board member Brand Pretorius, NAAMSA director Nico Vermeulen, and South Africa’s ‘voice of golf’ Dennis Hutchinson as the day’s MC.
