The developer, Bernhard Smuts, says that all your information will remain private and secure and will not be distributed in any way other than in the visual way displayed on the website.

Smuts, from Cape Town, is a pilot and codes in his spare time. The site was launched in June 2019. The traffic to the site depends on the number of articles and links pointing to it. Smuts says that his busiest day saw over 14 000 visits to his site.

Data collected includes your education, email address, country going to and occupation.

One of the new additions to the site is a section where expats can share their stories and not ALL of them are positive as this contributor said; “I’ve lived in England for a year and a half now. Things to take into account before you move here: The English are racist and discriminate against foreigners. I have been told to “go home”. Unless you come here to a job already secured in South Africa you will have to do some biscuit packing job or the like before they take your job application seriously. There are of course some instances this isn’t the case but this is the experience of all the expats I have met here…”
