The Richmond Hill SRA and ‘that’ web site

23 September 2014 By Port Elizabethan

The Editor

The Herald, Wednesday 17 September page 3 refers.

Allow me to state up front that I have been against the creation of a Special Ratings Area in Richmond Hill from day one and did what I could to try and ensure that it was not to be. I am not affiliated to the Committee or Management in any way but have (because it is law) paid the monthly ‘levy’ for two months now.

That said, the Heralds Wednesday report (and my subsequent reading of the web site mention) leads me to write and with the strongest words possible refute the arrant nonsense that was written in the web site.

Robert Brewers is a extremely courteous and helpful man working for a (to my mind) minimal salary, the directors and management have only the interests of the residents at heart and give freely of their time. Amanda Wellman did an excellent job in taking the path she did to get the S.R.A. going. Having attended a number of monthly meetings the attendees were from ALL races.

Whilst I still believe the setting up of the S.R.A. was misguided, but definitely not for the reasons given in the web site, I call upon the creator of the web site to stand up, name yourself and prove your allegations or sink back into the morass your life appears to be.

My real name follows.

Bruce Wigg

He won’t stand up and name himself. He’s not man enough for that and prefers hiding behind his pseudonym
