The GNU Participants Were a Foregone Conclusion – Fuckit I HATE being right!

As I often say to the two young ‘nearly teenagers’ in my home; “Fuckit, I hate being right!”

When the DA started with their talks about a Multi-Party Charter to defeat the ANC and take over as the government of South Africa along with their ‘promise’ to never work with the ANC, I only had this to say to anyone who would listen:

  • The DA has struggled for 30 years to be the government
  • Whatever they say is NOT cast in stone
  • How would you feel if you were always the bridesmaid and never the bride?
  • The DA and it’s members are at a water shed moment and very very hungry for power
  • This means that they will do ANYTHING to get a bite at the cherry to stay relevant
  • Given the smallest of chances the DA will roll over onto their back for a tummy rub and then bark at all and sundry about how their compromising on their stance over the ANC by joining them in a GNU/coalition is in the ‘National Interest’.
