we have a reasonably small guest house, but very upmarket. we have been fully booked for the weekend in question, and our guests are always in the top spending bracket.
PE is always seen as the entrance or exit to persons travelling the garden route, and stop overs are rare. Get off your backsides and market the awesome stuff we can provide, which will ensure that either entrants or exitors to PE have the will and wish to stay longer and experience what we can offer.
we have got it, we just don’t flaunt it!
PE is so much more than King’s Beach and an empty dolphin tank!

Indeed PE is like the business hub, in the week you have the Business man coming and going on weekends PE is almost dead with tourists the few I see fluttering around. The NMBT is not doing very well on trying to get PE to be a Tourist destination, There is nothing special in PE no more, the dolphins are been used else where and by the time we get them back they to old anyway. our town with that one lane that works, due to that stupid bus lane been put in place that is never used since 2010 should be removed. Fort Frederick is a mess, the donkin oh well done to the MBDA but in the evenings when you want to see the effect of the lights you get mugged, harassed or even chased away.
So sad that PE is going to the dog and Happy Valley what a shame, We are known as the Family destination in SA but what must kids do when they get here swim??
It saddens us to see how little respect is shown to tourism in our area. NMBT, MBDA have agendas that boggles the brain. They must understand that with employment you can lift the disadvantaged, allow them to afford housing, have self respect. We must re-establish ourselves as a destination for tourists. We are rapidly diving into less than 3rd world where no one cares about others, only about their 8 to 4 jobs and however much money they can acquire. Stop the politics, get back to ground level and sort out this mess. Every year we dive deeper, it will take 10years to recover. We are from out of town, we do not send people to P.E. on rainy days any more. We do not know what they can do there now, all the lights are going out everywhere, and no one to switch them back on again.
