Eastern Province Cricket and Acting CEO, Tono Mle have issued their thanks to the cricket fans of Nelson Mandela Bay and surrounds for supporting the Sunfoil Test Match recently hosted by Axxess St George’s.

“It was wonderful to see so many people coming out to support the Proteas. The numbers bear testimony to the fact that people in this part of the world enjoy the longer version of the game and in the case of this match a very exciting Test,” said Mle.

Cricket South Africa has, as an acknowledgement of this support allocated another Sunfoil Test to Port Elizabeth during December 2014, better known as the Boxing Day Test, against the very competitive West Indies.

Next Sunday 9 March 2014, at 14:30 Eastern Province Cricket will be hosting the KFC T20 International between the Proteas and Australia at Axxess St. George’s and I wish to urge the cricket fans to buy their tickets early to avoid disappointment. Tickets are available at the stadium, Postnet outlets and online at www.ticketpros.co.za
