Port Elizabeth – One of the men arrested in connection with the murder of teacher Jayde Panayiotou will appear in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
Thando Siyoli, 31, appeared in the same court last Thursday.
The teacher’s husband Christopher Panayiotou, 28, and Sizwezakhe Vumazonke, 30, also appeared separately for the same matter.
Christopher Panayiotou appeared on Monday, where he was told he faced charges of kidnapping, robbery and murder, as well as conspiracy to kill his wife.
The court postponed the matter against him until June 19 for further investigation.
He would remain in custody until then.
Injury
Vumazonke appeared on Tuesday, with a visible injury to his right eye.
When asked about the nature of his injuries, Vumazonke claimed the police had beaten him.
His case was also remanded to June 19.
Jayde Panayiotou was abducted outside her Kabega Park home on Tuesday, April 21, while waiting for her lift to the school where she taught. She was later found dead on the outskirts of the Kwanobuhle township in Uitenhage.
Details had emerged that a substantial amount of money was allegedly paid to kill her.
