Tarring of Roads in Ward 9

10 November 2011 By Ward 9

Kindly take note that I received the following e-mail from Mawethu Civils (Pty) Ltd:

“…We hereby wish to advise that our company will be commencing with roadworks in your ward on Monday the 14th November 2011.  We will be working between Knoll Road (towards Sunridge Park Pump Station) and Link Road (next to Fernglen Shopping Centre).

“We have identified that during the construction works which is expected to have a duration period of eight weeks….”

Should you have any queries/complaints re the above, please contact Mawethu Civils on 041 363-0862/67 or e-mail them on admin@mawethu.co.za or feel free to contact my office for any assistance.

Safety in Ward 9

We have received a telephone call from the Kabega Park SAPS who requested all residents to please park their motor vehicles in their garages or behind their gates inside their erven as it is otherwise seen as a ‘soft’ target for thieves.

Please do not hesitate to contact the 10111 number to report any suspicious vehicles and/or people.

Potholes

After enquiring about the slow repairing of potholes in the ward, I received the following from the Metro:

“… but am aware that there is a national shortage of Bitumen for the past month…”

This will be monitored as they expect to only have sufficient stock towards January 2012.

Ward 9 Greetings

Heinrich Muller
