It has taken me 5 years to ‘wake up’ and start using my Share Investment account on Easy Equities.
Also this is a message for Standard Bank to take note – THIS is how the ‘smaller’ players are nipping at your heels.
I have a share portfolio with Standard Bank and love it as it is NOT a monthly charge. The only drawback is that you can only invest in whole shares whilst Easy Equities allows you to invest in PART shares – almost like a lay-buy system of old.
Added to the above Capitec have access to Easy Equities via their online banking APP.
After recently activating Capitec’s LIVE BETTER savings (and applying the maximum round up to all card transactions) I will now be pumping that ‘silent savings’ into my Easy Equities (as now investing in part shares is easier).
Sign up at this link – https://bit.ly/3Hah4OE – it will give me a small referral commisison and you R50.00
Then activate Easy Equities on the Capitec App.
You can buy PART of a share and when you have bought an entire share it will be assigned to you.
Basically – whenever I get money in the LIVE BETTER savings I invest that small change in Easy Equities Shares.
TIPS:
- Start investing by choosing a share of a company that you know and use on a daily basis.
- In your Easy Equities Account go to: Profile –> Account Preferences and under ‘Dividend and Income Distribution Preference’ Select ‘Automatically re-invest the money into the holding
