During an ongoing search operation this morning at 04h58, at Woody Cape, NSRI rescuers and SA National Parks Rangers located and recovered the body of the missing female on the beach at Woody Cape. NSRI have handed the body of the deceased female into the care of the Police and the Forensic Pathology Services. The 3 survivors are a 41 year old male and a male and a female, both 18 years old. Woody Cape MTB Challenge in Cold and Wet Conditions
The Woody Cape's inaugural Mountain Bike Challenge on Saturday 7 May saw just under 100 participants taking part and enjoying the new course in cold and wet conditions. As a result of overnight rains, organisers shortened the long course Mountain Bike course to 45km which saw Christiaan Steffens and his father Ferdi dominating the race from the start.
