The vehicle sales industry experienced virtually no growth this past March, according to the latest data from the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa (Naamsa). South Africa’s new vehicle market saw a dramatic turnaround in performance for the month of September, with a total of 60 854 units sold, representing year-on-year growth of 11.5%. July vehicle sales showed solid gains growing by 18.3% year-on-year to 54 067 vehicles, the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa (Naamsa) said. Vehicle sales surged in May, rising by 20.7% to 50 229 from 41 625 units in May 2011, the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa (Naamsa) said today. Vehicle sales registered relatively strong gains in April, the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa (NAAMSA) said on Thursday. The Volkswagen Group reported a rise in global vehicle deliveries for the first four months of this year. Europe's largest automaker delivered 2.66 million units between January and April 2011 - an increase of 13.9 percent on last year's figure of 2.34 million over the corresponding period.
