29 June 2014 By Alan Straton

The Democratic Alliance does not anticipate much change in Friday’s State of the Province Address, as all that is happening is the subsequent handing over of the ANC-baton from Noxolo Kiviet to Phumulo Masualle. It is however, an important opportunity for the new premier to outline his vision for the province and to provide a framework for his executive members to frame their policy proposal thereon. The DA believes that the premier must concentrate on the following key … [Read more...] about State of the Province Address a costly handing over of the baton

A quick visit to the official web site of the Eastern Cape Government this morning (Saturday) revealed the following: The last … [Read more...] about I am so Embarrassed

Chalk and Bloody Cheese

18 February 2011 By Alan Straton

At last nights NMBBC Shinding I was chatting to my mate Shadleigh who wanted to know if I was going up to Bhisho to cover the EC State of the Province address. Thankfully I could see no reason to go and wished him God Speed negotiating the roads early this morning. What transpired out of the ensuing chat about the State of the Province address was that, in the past and for the entire two hours of proceedings, no-one present at the address could use their cell phones as the signal in that … [Read more...] about Chalk and Bloody Cheese
