The Springbok Sevens rugby squad will be amongst 16 international teams that will arrive on Monday, 8 December 2014 in Port Elizabeth for the annual Cell C Nelson Mandela Bay Sevens on the weekend of 13 and 14 December. Bay frontrunner to host IRB7’s for another four years

The successful hosting of the HSBC Sevens Series (IRB7's) in Nelson Mandela Bay over the last three years tipped Port Elizabeth as the frontrunner to renew the host city agreement with the South African Rugby Union (Saru) from 2015. On Saturday Western Province won the SARU Girls Under-18 South Sevens Interprovincial competition in Uitenhage in style with a resounding 43-0 victory in the final against Boland.
