The Audi S4 quattro racers set the pace at Aldo Scribante Raceway in Port Elizabeth. The qualifying session for round three of their championship in the Super Series saw the top four positions all claimed by Audi S4 quattro drivers. Daniel Rowe, a 20 year-old HMS (Human Movement Science) student at NMMU (Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University) is the first Port Elizabethan to lead the Engen Volkswagen Cup championship since series champions Tschops Sipuka and Michael Stephen in the mid-2000s. The Engen Volkswagen Cup championship heads to the Friendly City for some decidedly robust racing action on Saturday, 3 May. The field of Volkswagen Polo Vivo race cars has had five weeks to straighten panels, knock out the dents and replace side mirrors since their second championship round at Killarney. Fans were treated to a day of thrills and spills as Round 3 of the Wesbank Super Series returned to the Scribante Raceway in Nelson Mandela Bay on the last weekend of April.
