Please take note that a section of the Kabega Road has collapsed due to a burst pipe and has been closed. The road has been closed for motorist between the Kabega /Avondale Road intersection up to the intersection of Van der Stel  Street/Kabega Road. Motorist are requested not to use this section and please make use of a alternative route, except those residents that resides in these streets. The South African National Roads Agency Ltd (SANRAL) has advised motorists that the western on-ramp at Stanford Road interchange onto the N2, in Port Elizabeth, will be closed from 6am (for about five hours) on Sunday, 25 October 2015. The closure will allow the road to be milled and patched. The work cannot be carried out with traffic running as it is a single lane carriageway. The South African National Roads Agency (SANRAL) would like to notify travellers that the West Bound (N2) off-ramp and on-ramp on Kragga Kamma interchange will be closed to traffic from 07:00 until 18:00 on Sunday, 11 October 2015. Adequate signage and flagmen will be used to guide traffic. The road will be closed for repairs and will be available for use Monday 12 October. Hi All, Work on the right hand lane of Grahamstown Road is almost complete. Unfortunately we have experienced excessive rain and have lost 4 days of production in the process. An extra day was also lost due to an Asphalt Plant breakdown. We expect that traffic will change over onto this new surface on Monday (5 May). The next portion of Grahamstown Road is the Centre lane. John Tallant Road Closure

The next phase of the re-construction of John Tallant Road is about to be reached when it will be closed to the general public as a thoroughfare to the N2. The road is expected to be closed in this week ending Friday 14 March 2014. As part of the next phase of re-construction, the concrete block paving at the approaches to the N2 bridge are to be constructed in one portion by a specialist sub-contractor. As part of the Integrated Public Transport System (IPTS) upgrades in the process of changing the face of Nelson Mandela Bay for the better, Zwide’s Koyana Street will be closed between Sakuba and Qeqe Streets for an extended period.
