TWO major water pipes from the Churchill Dam have collapsed near Van Stadens, and repairs will take at least three days. One was a 1000mm pipe and the other a 700mm pipe. The Summerstrand reservoir is already dry - two water tankers have been dispatched to the area. One tanker will be parked at the Pick 'n Pay Centre, and the other will be placed at the Mercado Spar.
