SABC's Janine Lee has fun releasing African Penguins off of St Croix yesterday. 72 previously oiled penguins were released on 15 September 2016 in a Joint Venture between SANCCOB, SANParks, NSRI and Extreme Projects. The penguins were oiled in the latter part of August after a miscreant ship scrubbed illegally. At 09h00 this morning, 15 August 2016 NSRI Port Elizabeth duty crew launched the Sea Rescue boat Eikos Rescuer IV to assist SANParks with the release of 72 African penguins back into their colony on St Croix Island.
