Due to a Chemical Dosing Equipment malfunction the taste of municipal supplied water in several areas in Uitenhage currently has a metal or iron taste as a result of a low pH level. Although the supply is still considered safe to drink, workers of the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality’s Water and Sanitation sub-directorate are working around the clock to rectify the situation.
