Proposed municipal rates and tariffs are immoral
The residents of this metro are being taken for the ride of their lives! They have the right to know why the proposed rates and tariff increases are unrealistically high and the answer lies in the fact that our honest ratepayers and citizens are being asked to fund the ongoing mismanagement of municipal financial and human resources. It would appear as if President Jacob Zuma and the National Executive Committee of the ANC have given the Nelson Mandela Bay a ceremonial mayor. At 15h46 on 13 March 2013, city councillors received an sms that read as follow: "Dear Cllrs, Public Participation Meetings scheduled for 13 to 20/3/13 is (sic) postponed until further notice.
