Some advice for our beleaguered Metro Head of Communications Roland Williams whose 'accepting of largess from a rival to Times Media' is being spotlighted in The Herald newspaper. Williams responded today to The Herald's front page article about his "unethical conduct" in accepting "An all-expenses-paid golfing trip to Paarl......which was paid for by printing giant Paarl Media." According to The Herald; "Paarl Media received the last R7.8-million tender to print the municipality's Ubuntu … [Read more...] about Dear Roland – Golf is for People UNable to Sail

An interesting third day at sea
Shifty conditions greeted the Boardwalk Hobie 16 Nationals fleet on Saturday 22 March 2014 - the 3rd and 2nd last day of sailing. I Will (try to) Never Take a Media Event for Granted Again
Only two days to go to the start of the Boardwalk Hobie 16 Nationals and we kick off festivities with a Press Launch this evening at the PE (Hobie) Beach Yacht Club. As I sit on the balcony I can smell tempting flavours from the kitchen and hear the clink of glasses and cutlery being put out for hungry journos who will come and eat their full. Maybe they will stay to have a Fanta Brown or two and have a couple of laughs. The amount of time that has gone into organising this evening's … [Read more...] about I Will (try to) Never Take a Media Event for Granted Again
