Just Fifty Eight rand for a crate will go a long way to help the Children's Feeding Trust, now in its 56th year and operating from its office in the Walmer Town Hall. A charity drive by Port Elizabeth's Jaco Rademeyer Estates (JRE) has seen several local charities receive a much-needed cash injection in a donation aimed primarily at the upliftment of women and children in the community. Charities in Nelson Mandela Bay are bearing the brunt of the economic downturn, with a slump in donations amid a rising need among beneficiaries.
