Friday Rant – an easy one today, Damn Banks

Today I perceived the need to extract information from my Standard Bank accounts going back to December 2009 so I hopped onto Internet banking. Extracting info is logical - I needed to analyse payments made to a certain account BUT could only extract information going back 365 days. Any further and I needed to go into my branch. What the Bloody Banks can learn from Capitec

I am so sick and tired of opening a newspaper and seeing the big three banks hogging full page spread adverts using bait and switch tactics in order to gain market share. The clincher was opening the Sunday Crimes this past weekend and seeing a THREE PAGE advert encouraging me to get an iPad or whatever - of course terms and conditions apply so you actually end up paying more.
