Student Campaign to raise bursary funds
NMMU's Student Alumni Society (SAS) embarked on a campaign to help raise funds for the Alumni Association's Bursary Fund. Financial support from the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS), corporate bursaries and university funded financial aid is not enough to meet the needs of students. The NMMU Alumni Bursary Fund was formally introduced in 2013 and thus far assisted more than forty students with textbooks, fee support and subsistence (travel allowance and meal support).
