Mike Holt and Carl Smit win the 60th SAP 5O5 World Championship in South Africa with one race to spare. The final race today will see the battle for second place between Ian Pinnell and Johannes Tellen from Great Britain on 17 points and Michael Quirk and Luke Payne from Australia on 19 points. With a westerly breeze gusting across Algoa Bay at up to 45 knots, race 6 of the SAP 505 World Championships was unable to go ahead on 1 April 2015. Racing of one race scheduled for 1 April 2015 had to be abandoned as winds gusted up to 45 knots in Port Elizabeth's Algoa Bay. Port Elizabeth, 30 March 2015 - Two races were sailed on the third day of the 60th SAP 5O5 World Championships bringing the total sailed to 5 in the series and with a discard kicking in the results just got interesting. Port Elizabeth, 26 March 2015 - Algoa Bay dished up some of it's famous wind today - the last day of the pre worlds and SA Championships of the 60th SAP 5O5 World Championships. Only one race was sailed in hard conditions that averaged 18 knots from the West with 1.5 metre swells, a smattering of rain and a number of retirements. Sparkling Water and Light Shifty Conditions for 1st pre worlds race in Port Elizabeth

The first race of the 5O5 pre-worlds and South African Championships in Port Elizabeth, South Africa was sailed today in very light shifty conditions. The first race had to be abandoned halfway through after a 180 degree wind shift.
