Support PESAAF Museum at the PE Air Show

16 October 2012 By Alan Straton

The Port Elizabeth SAAF Museum and the PE Friends of the Museum have just launched their 2013 Collector’s calendar to raise much needed funds for the Museum.

The calendar depicts North American T-6 Harvards of the SAAF based in PE flying over the city in the 50’s and 60’s.

The calendars are full colour and A2 size and can be purchased from the SAAF Museum for R20.00 each.

Don Bell donated the image of his painting that is permanently on show in the Museum Aviation Gallery and SPAR and GV Donald kindly shared the printing costs.

The calendar will also be on sale at the SAAF Museum stand at the PE Air Show on Saturday 27 October 2012.

Passionate about Port Elizabeth and definitely NOT packing for Perth. Alan's ethos is epitomised in the words of Nelson Mandela; "I have fought against white domination and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the idea of a democratic and free society. If need be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die." See more articles by Alan.
