In the ‘old days’ the simplest way to submit new and updated URL’s from your web site was to register your site and app with Google’s Search Console. Once you had registered, you uploaded your sitemap through a simple interface by navigating to the Crawl > Sitemaps section.
BUT, even that had technophobes hyperventilating and reaching for the old Brown Paper Bag from last night’s takeaways.
Now Google has taken a leaf out of the Social Media norm of sharing a link to something that interests you – just by doing a search (on Google, dummy) for the words “submit url to google” you will see a submission box in the main search results page allowing you to submit your URL.
Submission is easy – Type or paste an already copied URL into the box provided (e.g. http://MyPR.co.za), tick the “I’m not a robot” selection and click on SUBMIT.

With this tool, you can submit any URL you want to the Google index. Google will then review and see if they want to index the URL and show it in their search results. Of course, submitting a URL to Google for inclusion in their search index does not mean (a) it will be included in the index, and (b) it will be shown in their rankings.
