The opening of the group exhibition, Spectrum: Light, Sound and Colour, presented by the collective Cross Spectrum, was held on 7 March 2017 at the Kamva Leadership Insitute at 56 Mackay St, Richmond Hill, Port Elizabeth. The exhibition showcased new and recent fine art graduates. Cross Spectrum formed out of the artists’ desire to display their graduate work which they were previously unable to present to the public. The artists featured are Demi Adams, Jubilee Edwards, Ntobeko Mjijwa, Megan Poisat and Midian Thackwray. The exhibition space was made available by the Kamva Leadership Institute. The venue is used as a conversational space to explore potential. It was decided that 10% of all sales at the exhibition shall be donated to the International Woman’s Peace Group as a way of giving back to the wider community.
