A star-studded line-up of homegrown artists including South African chart topping Mi Casa and internationally acclaimed Bucie will perform live in concert alongside several international megastars at the inaugural M Bay Megafest at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday 2 June, 2012.
The bill features no less than four international megastars namely Shaggy, Neyo, Ludacris and Protoje, in possibly the most high profile concert yet hosted in the region.
The South Africa music industry is represented by a cross spectrum of artists and genres.
Joining Mi Casa and Bucie on the line-up are Zakes Bantwini, Eltonnik & NAAK.
Confirming the impressive line-up at a media briefing organisers, Zeranza, said the M Bay Megafest will be sold out with up to 50 000 fans expected to snap up tickets through Computicket at the impressive stadium, affectionately known as the “Sunflower”, built for the FIFA 2010 Soccer World Cup.
“We feel confident that this is one of the most exciting line-up of artists ever secured for a single-day concert in the region,” Zeranza and festival director CEO Andrew Wessels said.
“All contracts have been signed and arrangements are now in place for the appearance of the international artists, as well as local performers. “We are extremely excited to be hosting an event with performers of this magnitude in Nelson Mandela Bay and we’re confident the success of the first event will leave guests counting down the days until the next show.”

“Zeranza, said the M Bay Megafest will be sold out with up to 50 000 fans expected to snap up tickets” Yeh, we’ll just have to wait and see. I’m not holding my breath though
It is a sad fact of life that we have seen too many of these mega concerts fail. BUT, we keep on hoping that the next one will be THE one.
Comforting for me is that Protojoe’s manager has already retweeted this article.
Looking forward to the spectacular line up for only R 150 a ticket.. This is definitely an event i cant miss!!
When will the tickets be available?
When will the tickets be available, i need to get mine asap
I am already hearing people say that this fest will be stillborn – I certainly hope that they are not right, Port Elizabeth can ill afford another flop. Anyone have a spare R25 Million they are prepared to pump in?
Where will tickets be sold?
Apparently Computicket. I have been told that MyPE will be the first to know when tickets become available. There was also supposed to be a big announcement in the weekend papers this past weekend which I didn’t see/missed.
The NMB Megafest Project Manager emailed me this update toiday; “The tickets will be available on Computicket any day now. We have been guaranteed Friday the latest.”
Have the tickets started being sold? And I went to the computicket site, no mention of Ludacris. And that’s who I really wanna see. What’s the latest news on this? This event is beong promoted poorly.
