RIP Bambezakhe Goya

The Democratic Alliance (DA) has learnt with shock and sadness the news of the untimely passing of the Mayor of Ingquza Hill Municipality, Cllr Bambezakhe Goya. Cllr Goya passed away after a short illness.

We would like extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues during this time of sorrow.

Cllr Goya was a formidable public representative, who sought to serve his community until his final days.

He served on the council for many years and played a key role in the politics of the Municipality, having also served as a member of the Mayoral Committee for Infrastructure.

His family can take solace in the knowledge that we will remember him as a kind person, and a public representative who dedicated his life in service of his community.

It is our hope that with the passage of time their pain will ease.
